Whew... a busy couple of days!

Judy and I are back in Woodstock tonight, after a whirlwind 2 day tour up to Orillia and Barrie area. We headed up to Orillia Tuesday afternoon, and arrived in time to enjoy a great BBQ Steak Dinner that Judy's Brother Garry, and Shelly put together for us...

Now, here is Garry, doing his best Charlie Brown impression, doing up our steaks. He did a great job, much better than I did at taking any pictures...

So I dug deep into the blog archives, and came up with this photo from last November, when we enjoyed a 3 day mini vacation at Disney Land up in Orlando.

This morning Judy and I enjoyed coffee and breakfast with them, and then headed south to Barrie...

We ended up spending 2 1/2 hours at the Offices of ScotiaMcLeod completing an annual financial review, and also some Estate Planning. This is something that people usually do not put at the top of their list of things to do... but it has to be done.

The last wills we had completed were done back in 1992, (seems like yesterday...)

so this was no good, as many things had changed, including some legal terms that were included in our last Wills. So we are on track now to get this all up to speed in the next little while, and we can forget about it all again!

In Ontario, if you happen to pass away without leaving a Will, guess what can happen... yup, the good old Provincial Government can step in and take right over... who wants that to happen!!!! (Which now reminds me, gotta go out and vote in the Provincial Election tomorrow...)

News from our Financial Planner was good, as this past year was simply fantastic for Financial Market Returns.

Man, that chart above just scares me... good thing I don't have a clue what it is about...

Our Planner even had so good thoughts on the Markets for the year to come... so good luck everyone!

Till tomorrow...

  3. It's always nice to hear that last year's investments have turned out well. I think we have wills stashed somewhere in my desk, I guess I should have a look at them one of these days.
