Whew, yesterday was a busy day… good thing we are retired!
I was flying the Planes first thing in the morning, as it was simply a beautiful day! Hot, sunny, no wind… made for flying!
Later in the morning, Judy wanted to go for a hike, so we took off for the Lake Pittock Conservation Area. Great day for hike!
The trail runs along the Thames River… Lake Pittock was man made by building a dam on the Thames.
This guy below was either getting a sun tan, or looking for his breakfast!
This is the dam, people love to fish just below it, had to be about 10 people fishing.
The lake is quite nice, good for sailing and small pleasure craft.
After lunch Chris and Kristina, along with their friend Josh, wanted to head out to the Canterbury Festival in Ingersol, and invited us along. Why not!
Ingersol is a great little Town just west of Woodstock. Apparently this was festival #11.
There was lots of good folk music going on… they had quite a number of stages set up on the main street and local park.
Kristina and Judy were relaxing in the shade… it was hot!
The clowns got in on the act to keep things light!
Water attracts kids…
Judy and Kristina enjoying a “snow cone”… Chris and Josh said they were off looking for some cold “liquid” refreshment! (They found it – no pictures allowed to protect the innocent.)
They had some dancing going on with performing arts…
These two girls showed us all that “tap dancing’ is still hip!
It was colourful, and fun to watch…
Good time was had by all. We made our way back to the RV, and enjoyed a BBQ dinner, and then enjoyed our Canada Day fire works that had to be cancelled last weekend due to rain. Also enjoyed a little “fire in a can”…
We have two recent blog followers… William and Wendy! Welcome to RVlifeonwheels!
Till tomorrow…
looks like it was a fun day all round!!..
