Moving Day…

We took life easy, and got ready to travel at our own speed today, as we only had about a hour and 1/2 drive from Casey’s Park over to Milton Heights.  Just a quick run up the 401.

One thing that I did do this morning, after we got all loaded up, was to stop at the CAT Scales at the big Woodstock Truck Centre and run the RV up on the scales.    I have always wondered for the past year and a half how much this thing really weights…  as it turns out, we were just slightly over weight, a little over 300 lbs.   The Kodiak Chassis has a GVWR of 19,500 lbs.  We were just over this weight, but there are a bunch of variables.  We had our fuel tank full, and there was some excess water in our fresh tank.  My concern was that we were way over weight, but this is not the case, and I was glad to pay the $12.00 fee to have a whole bunch of piece of mind!

After the scales, we headed over to Kristina’s for some lunch and goodbye’s.  We will see her and Stephanie on Wednesday, as they plan on going into Toronto for  a couple of days.

They had only 8 kids show up last night for Halloween… too bad, they wanted more!  They carved 3 pumpkins, one for each of them.

After we got into our new Park, Judy took a couple of pictures while I was setting up satellites etc. Both of us got a real good feeling coming into this park, you just get that sometimes.  On the other side, there are some parks you can’t seem to get away from quick enough! We like it here.

Quite a nice park, well spaced out, lots of open spaces…

The big cement culvert you see in the centre of this picture goes into the ground about 6 feet down, and contains the water for your site.  This prevents the water from freezing here.  This park is open all year!

Burgman all unloaded off the Jeep.  We will be here until next Tuesday, and we will see from there.  I have my Dr. appointment next Monday, and we should know after that.

At least the weather looks not too bad for the next week here… tonight will be the coldest at only –1… not too bad, I can handle that!

Till tomorrow…
