Let all the fun begin...

Yes, the fun has begun this weekend, as we are starting into the work project on Chris and Kristina's house, namely the floors. Over the past couple of years, we have worked on the upstairs bedrooms for the kids. This year, the living room, dining room, and kitchen are in our sights!

The kids were able to move into Chris' Mom and Dad's house, as the are on vacation. This leaves the house empty for us to get to work on the floors. Above Chris is hard digging out the old sub floor over a section of floor in the hall that we are also doing. You can see the hardwood underneath that we will be re-finishing.

This is a century home, and these floors have not been re-finished for quite a while, and they show it! Not to worry though, we will get them back in shape soon!

These marks are all on the surface of the wood, and will sand off. Probably will be ready on Monday to start sanding. Today we moved a lot of furniture out of the way.

After work was done for the day, we went back to the other house for some dinner and a bit of play time with Gwenny and Charlie of course! Gwenny was excited as Mom found 10 new Thomas the Train Books for her today! Thomas is a hero to Gwenny! She loves reading books. I know, as she made me read six of them to her after dinner!

Judy picked up a couple puzzles for Gwenny today, and she loved them!

Charlie just hung around and played it cool all afternoon!

Till tomorrow...
