A night out with the "Cowboys"....

Last night we were invited out with a bunch of fellow RVers from Rincon Country Resort. I think we had about 7 or 8 couples head out into the middle of nowhere in the desert to find Fred's Arena Bar and Grill. What a night, we had a blast. We have some good neighbours here at Rincon and we have enjoyed a few happy hours with Dennis and Linda, and John and Cindy. Dennis and Linda picked us up in their car so we did not have to get lost in the desert by ourselves on our bikes... thanks guys!
This is the front of Fred's place. He raises some draft horses you will see in a minute... has a big statute out front of one... had to beg Judy not to get up on it and well.... you know....

this is just some of his out buildings.... There is a big arena out back where they put on some rodeo type shows...

The horse barn...

This was a good looking horse, quite young...(although I am not really an expert or anything like that on judging horses, so you will have to take my word for it...)

Hey, watch out you don't step in the horse _ _ _ _

It looks like Fred builds quite a few wagons for parades and stuff like that...

Some of the wagons were quite nice... we took a tour around before dinner...

This is a real nice Stage Coach, I am sure it is worth a few bucks...

This is our table... that is Cindy on the far left, her husband John is left out of the picture and that is Linda and Dennis with their backs against the wall. Oh yes, lets not forget Judy lower right.

There is John, sorting through all the C & W songs on the old jute box.

There was rumours that he was babbling last night....???.... but very hard to babel when you have Cochise keeping you right in line....

Steak is the special of the house, and when you order it, you can watch them cook it right in the middle of the restaurant on the open flame grill, very cool...

Augh.... there is a better shot of Cochise.... I think he was upset with John's choices on the jute box....

I forgot to mention it the other night, but the afternoon we drove home from the Titan Missile Museum, we had a javelina run out on the road in front of us.... this is a mounted one that I found inside the restaurant... they are like a wild boar sort of.... kind of ugly...that is a long horn sheep beside him, and there are quite a few of them around here with all the mountains.

It was a great night that we really enjoyed with our Rincon friends.

Today was a beautiful day.... temps back up to about 25 Deg. C. The way we like it. This morning FEDEX finally came through with my delivery of my Magellan maps for my GPS... now I have to figure out what to do with them! At 7:30 tonight, UPS delivered Judy's new windshield for her motorcycle....errr.... did I ever mention I broke her othere one on the bike... sorry!

Watched Canada beat up on the Russians tonight, and during the game we recevied emails from Debbie and Gerard who were luckey enough to be at the game! He had bought tickets for the quarter final game a long time ago,

Till tomorrow....
