Nice and warm today in Branson. Mid 70's and lots of sun. After we got going this morning, we decided to walk up on the main street and see what was happening.... there is lots.
This is a picture of a picture, but this is the way you enter the water!
They take you on a 90 minute tour of the Town and surrounding area.... in the pic below, they take you up a private mountain and you get a great view of the local area with all the lakes...
Branson is in the middle of the "Ozark Mountains", so it is real pretty.... lots of hills to climb.
While on the private property, the tour company shows you some old military vehicles they have purchased, and keep stored. Below is one of the ducks as a military vehicle. They ducks were all built during the 1940's by women, while the men were away fighting the second world war.
These are from the "Dogwood" tree....
And of course by law, our Captain had to explain the proper use of one of these things before we hit the water....
And then we were off on the lake! There was about 10 of these duck bus/boats running today, and they were all full of people...
This was too funny.... on our way back at the end of the tour, this Police Car pulls up beside us at a red light. Our Captain has an awesome sound system on board the Duck, and he plays the theme music from "Cops" at warp 10.... You could hear it for a block... "Bad Boys...Bad Boys..."
As you get on the Duck they give everyone a Duck Call, and you get to "Quack" everyone as you drive around... the people teeing off on the golf course got a little ticked I think....
Fun day overall, and we made it back to our resort to get invited out to a "Happy Hour" by two other couples in our Park from Ontario now less! One from Kingston, and the other from Bancroft! They have been down for the winter also, and are making their way back to the Mother Land.
Had fun watching Toronto beat Montreal in OT no less in the last game of the year, while letting Montreal win 1 point to allow them to get in the playoffs! All is good.
Till tomorrow.....
