Well, after today's travels we are only 2 hours behind all you folks out east... we are catching up!
Judy again is our photographer today, as we travelled across Arizona into New Mexico. We remained high in altitude again today, and you could see the odd mountain go by with snow still on the top of it... brrrrr....
As we entered New Mexico, we noticed all this black ground, and at first we thought it was black dirt, but Judy and her "Eagle" eye, figured out it was actually lava rock.... and lots of it in this one area.... must of been from a volcano many years ago... very unusual.
New Mexico has some great mountains and rock formations as you drive across....
My favorite picture of the day! I thought Judy did pretty good on this one, at 65 mph...
All of the bridges and pedestrian cross walks are all done fancy in New Mexico...
We pulled off the highway around 3:30 this afternoon, into a park called Hidden Valley RV Park, so you will not be able to see us.... It is at Tijeras, New Mexico, and we are at over 6,600 feet in elevation.... gonna be cool tonight.
While I was setting up the internet satellite, Judy was walking around and found a hiking trail in the park and took this picture, and the next one on the trail....
Yes, that would be some snow she found.... good thing I didn't see it in person!
This is a real nice passport America park, and is only $14.00 for the night! Turned on the XM Radio again to listen to New York beat the Leafs like... 5 to 1 tonight... ouch....
Tomorrow will be back on the road again as we continue heading east. Judy did some proof reading for Kristina today while we were driving today, thanks to the magic of the internet and printers and cellphones! We are connected!
Till tomorrow.....
