Aquarium at Scripps, California

Sorry about last night folks.... for some reason Google thought we were an automated broadcasting system and shut us down from the blog network.... don't know why, but today all is well again!
Yesterday was a great day. The last day we planned on spending in San Diego area, and Judy had the idea of going to the Aquarium at Scripps Institute, which is an arm of the University of California. It is located right on the Pacific Ocean and is a great place! Here I am at the front entrance grabbing a whale by the tale... note the other whale breaching behind me!
The Scripps Institute is world renown and here in the pic below is what greats you as you arrive at the aquarium... one of their old subs... they do big time Ocean research.

This is another view of the front entrance of the aquarium...
Guess for some reason, I wanted you all to see the front of the aquarium....????....

OK, one more picture of the front, but please note the sea horses on the glass, you will see more of these later....

The aquarium replicates the ocean all the way from Alaska down to the equator, and is very cool.... here is an example of some of the aquarium shots inside...
This is one big aquarium....
The views are great inside, and any kind of fish you can imagine....
Check out these jelly fish... cool !

Check out this sea horse.... I took over 200 pictures at the aquarium, and have to find some to put on the blog, this is not an easy job! Judy took 50 pictures!

Need I say more.... it was great!

This is looking from the aquarium towards the pacific ocean.... the buildings you see are all part of the Scripps Institute.... big! This is all located in the Town of La Jolla... (Pronounced.... LA Hoya)
We spent 4 hours at the aquarium, and loved every minute of it. We left and went downtown La Jolla to check out the Ocean.... These homes are right on the Ocean and have to be worth BIG BUCKS!!!!!!

Judy found this home with an unusual tree in the front yard...

We stopped down at La Jolla bay, and what a spot, we found a few birds... pelicans included!

I jumped down on these rocks to take a picture, you will never guess what of.... keeping going...

Here is the picture I was taking, a bunch of Ocean Seals enjoying the sun! What a surprise... Judy just about freaked out when she saw them.....

Check out these breakers hitting the beach! Awesome!

The ocean had carved out these caves on the beach area... very cool...

This is where you could sit and eat your lunch.... great spot!As you can tell it was a great day, we had a blast!

We have now moved and are in the middle of nowhere in the Anza Boreggo Desert State Park, and you will see more of this on the blog tomorrow....\

I am sitting out in the desert tonight finishing this blog, using the generator on the RV for power!

Yes, today was hot, over 30 degrees C. Way over! Wait till you see the pictures from the desert tomorrow! Don't miss it!

Till tomorrow.....
