Good Day all! Yes, our young 2 day old Paige Gwenleigh Hollinger is doing very well. Judy and I had a chance to talk again today to Shawn, and all is still fine in Tennessee! Emmie has been in a couple of times now to see Paige and is doing good with it. You can see some more pictures and videos of Paige and Emmie at www.hollingergirls.blogspot.com They have started up a new blog for the kids. Judy and I can't wait to go and visit them all in Tennessee and will do so soon!
We are still in Californai, Borrego Springs to be exact, and just loving it. Today the temperature got to over 85 degrees F. It was HOT. Last night was a different story! We had the worst winds we have ever encountered in the motorhome. They howled all night! At 8:00 a.m. this morning for some reason, they turned off the switch and they stopped... go figure... Judy had to wake me up at 4:30 and tell me to pull the slides in as they were pounding in the wind.... wow...
So due to the excitement of a new baby, I got a little behind on my blogging again! We have a few good pictures today for you to bring you up to date. It is about 6:00 p.m. on Friday night as I do this blog, and having to do it on generator power again as we are still boondocking in the desert! It is starting to fill up out here with people coming out for the weekend!
This is where we talked to Jennifer on the phone about the new baby, just outside Borrego Springs viewing the medal statutes... there are a bunch of them... lots...
Here is a baby elephant.... The person who built them, put them on this estate land and welcomes anyone to come and take pictures, and camp on this land if you want to! For Free! Not many due, due to the fact it is very busy with people coming to look at the animals.
This was my favorite!Check out this one!....
Awww. he is just a baby...
OK, all is well, here is mommy!....
I call this "kicking horse pass..."
I think I mentioned the other day we moved our site, and here is our new one... It was my idea to move and had to sell Judy on the fact this one would be BETTER!... Not to sure when all those winds came up though.....
We biked for about 2 miles, and we knew there was a dry lake up ahead, and we finally got there... it was real neat... check out this pic of Judy....The dry lake bed is surrounded by mountains... I estimated the lake to be about 300 acres!
It was real easy to ride the bicycles on it, just like pavement...
This thing was big, and not one drop of water to be found... we talked to some people who are from California and come here on a regular basis and they said there was water here in February!
This picture should give you an idea of the dry lake bed... it is hard!
We rode to the far side of the bed, and came across this old stone Corry, that still looks semi active, they also do decorative big stones....
After we left the stones behind, we headed out across the lake again, and I snapped this action shot of Judy .... it was starting to get real warm here at about 9:30 this morning....
We were both quite amazed as we rode across this dry lake, have never done this before in this lifetime.... just another tick off the bucket list....

OK, that is enough for today, you are all up to date, and our generator is still going.... we have had a couple problems with it, but it is getting better! Internet works great out here...
Till tomorrow....
