Today was the first day of the rally here in Ellicottville, and it was a very good day. Jim and I made it down for a real nice breakfast that is included with our room! Perfect! We registered for the Rally, and of course got the Official Rally T Shirt.
The group of campers came over and joined us, and we all went on the first ride of the Rally today, down to Allegheny National Forest to a dam. It was about a two hour drive one way.
OK, lets look at some pics of the day…
This is a pic of our Canadian Crew getting staged for today’s ride…
There are a few Can Am’s here, built in CANADA!
Registration area this morning…
Here is some of the CND. crew members…
That is Murray with his brand New 1700 Voyageur, nice bike.
Our destination was the Kinzua Dam, which is actually in Pennsylvania.
We had lunch here, sat out side on the water.
Lots of mountains in the Park…
Water was very nice, lots of boats…
It has a marina…
There was big time water coming out of the dam on the low side.
Big time water…
While we were watching the dam, these two American Bald Headed Eagles were watching us… sorry it is so blurry…I only have our small point and shoot with me… left the big camera at home…
Mean while, back on the main street of Ellicottville…
Lots of neat little shops and lots of Flags!
Jim is so into being neat and clean…. he even made his bed before the Maid’s came in!
Main street again…
and again…
Back at the Rally some heavy duty repairs were going on…
We had a big BBQ for dinner…
And some live entertainment! Good day!
I think I took too good a picture of the resort we are staying in, as I got Judy wondering why she is working and I am here doing what I am doing…. wooopppssss….
Sounds like Al from the Bayfield Bunch and his wife Kelly have been to Ellicottville to ski, along with our Daughter Kristina and her hubby, Chris. They all seem to recognize some of the shots from last night.
Looking forward to tomorrow, will keep shooting with the camera!
Till tomorrow….
Chris wants me to tell you about the Ellicotville brewery, downtown. It has wonderful food (massive portions) and delicious local beer - you should go!
