Another great day in Arizona....lots of sun and quite warm today....just the way we like it. We were up bright and early with Judy in the pool and I was doing some RV maintenance. John and Pat came over at 10:00 and we were soon off for Castle Dome Mine for the day!

We had lots of time today so we also did the walking tour of the abandoned mines and old grave yard, and a few other areas of interest.



Judy and I had been to the museum before, but there is so much here it is real easy to come again and pick up on what you missed the first time.

Talking about what you missed the first time, take this next item. I missed it the first time, and here it is! What is it? If anyone has a clue leave a comment or email me!

Looks like someone did some shooting at whoever was driving this one.... wonder if he lived?

I missed these boots the first time around, I betcha they have quite a storey to tell....


This lady was selling stuff, but we were not buying.....

This was the biggest lighter collection I have ever laid my eyes on.... look at the pistol lighters in the middle.... I liked those...


This was one old record player, our Daughter and Her Husband would love this.....

We came across one of these chairs at the prison, but this one is a barber chair..... I think....

We did get hungry, and Judy had a great idea of bringing Sub Way with us, so we stopped for a desert picnic!

The scales of justice seemed a little out of balance...

Lots of people go to Mexico for dental work, and this is where you end up....yes, it is real cheap!

This is for my brother Gord, he will know this is an old tap and die set, they had full machine shops for the mines.... lots of work to do.

These three are still on the lose....John M. was inspecting the tack shop, and machine shop...

This mine was 250 feet deep, it was a LONG way down.... and it was kind of spooky walking around the mines, as we were about 20 miles from the Yuma Proving Grounds, and they were blowing up things all day.... all you heard was boom boom boom.....

Of course I had to have a few mountain pictures.... here is castle dome mountains, and a nice cactus....

My favorite pic of the day.... this mountain was far off, had to get the big lens out, but still far off... very unusual mountain....

A great day overall. Tomorrow is another tour... this time the University of California Experimental Farm out in El Centro, California. Should be lots there to see.
