Judy and I slept in a bit this morning, apparently you are allowed to do this when you are retired! Felt pretty good…
We headed into Woodstock this afternoon, and I ended up doing some work on Chris and Kristina’s home. They have some windows that needed to be re-caulked, so I got a good start. I cleaned up the old stuff off the windows, so tomorrow might be able to fill a few gaps and get the job finished up!
This evening we had them back out to the RV as there was a Leaf Hockey game tonight, that was broadcast only on Leaf TV which I happen to have as part of my Shaw Direct Package, so Judy whipped up a big pot of Chilli that we all enjoyed and watched the game…
We had some sun this morning and the RV was basking in it…
Patra was sitting in her normal morning position on the dash, beside our new little dash cat…
Josh in the middle could not take his eyes off the game long enough for the picture…
If I look a little drained in this picture, it was because the Leaf’s were behind for most of the game… and my sweater did not seem to help them like it has in the past…
The Leaf’s ended up losing in OT but they at least get 1 point for their effort… Cali never took her eye off her bone!
We had a very enjoyable evening and no one went away hungry!
This morning I was cleaning the front of our GM C5500 cab, and as i opened the hood, I broke the hood handle that you pull on to open the hood. Grrr… why are they made of plastic??? When we went into Woodstock this afternoon, I drove up the the GM Dealership, and inquired about this part at the parts dept. Low and behold, they had the actual handle in stock!!!!!! Could not believe it! Just have to install it now!
I had a nice talk with the guy in the parts dept. and he was telling me the rumours were true… GM is going to stop building our Chassis and the C5500 mid sized truck. I don’t know why… it is a very popular truck. If you look at all the U-Haul trucks on the road, a lot of them are built on the C5500 chassis. Apparently they will still build a 5500 frame, but it will be based on a half ton style cab. Too bad! Guess I will have to keep ours for a long time!
Till tomorrow…
The last Toronto Maple Leaf's game I watched, Johnny Bower was in the net at one end of the arena & Montreal Canadian's Jacque Plante was at the other end. Think it was the 61 or 62 playoff's.
