Winter sets in...

Sure felt like it today... man, was it cold here this morning. Hopefully it warms up this weekend.

Judy went into Town this morning to help out Kristina a bit, and they ended up visiting "The Early Years Centre"... a place all little people gather at.

Who does not like play dough...

Granny got in on some action with Gwenny... playing up a storm.

Of course Charlie was up to his normal..... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

I was out at the RV doing a few minor repair items... had to replace the latch on our screen door as the spring broke on the latch.

Also we had a problem with one of our main light that we use all the time inside the RV in the Living Room section. You would hit the switch and it would take about 3 to 5 seconds before the light came on... what's with that?

This is a 12 volt double light fixture with the switch in the middle...

It was real simple to do the wiring... just 2 leads off the light... I decided to switch it for one in our bedoom area, as there are three there, and we never used the one furthest back. It was still like new.

Ever wonder what is up in you ceiling??? When I took the fixtures off the ceiling, I had a big hole where all the wires came out to attach to the fixture. There was a steel beam I could see, right up against the outer layer of fibreglass. There was also over 4 inches of insulation in our ceiling! This makes heating and cooling the RV much easier! Once I put the wonky fixture back in the bedroom, of course it worked fine... so go figure.

Had to put the plants away tonight, as we are supposed to get frost!

Till tomorrow...

  1. We take advantage of every opportunity to peak into the unknown... behind walls, in the roof, under the floor.
We have a few light switches doing the same thing... they're either difficult to switch or there is a delayed reaction. Its the switches that get used a lot, so I guess they just wear out.

  2. You might have a switch that is failing or one of the wires might have a break in it.

We agree where did summer go? It's supposed to be back next weekend. Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  3. I save indoor tasks for inclement weather days. Interesting problem with the light. Good solution found though!

Have you checked your heaters? By the sounds of things, you may need them.

  4. Cold yesterday for sure, but getting warmer now by the minute.
I have had to more a couple of our light fixtures as well. Gives you a chance to look inside things too.

  5. Frost? Yikes. Moving a problem to another location is one of my favourite fixes too. Out of sight, out of mind!

Little Charles seems to have life all figured out!
