Work, work, work...

Another great day weather wise, however it got down to 40 deg. F. last night, but very quickly warmed up very nice today.

After putting in four walking laps of the Park, I set into a bunch of caulking work around the RV this morning, and a bit more this afternoon. This is an ongoing job, and there were a few spots that needed some work. I completed all the front cab over area of the RV, which is exposed probably the most to foul weather...

I don't know, you might be able to see the before and after looking at the two picks below of our big slide out. The top picture is before, and the lower is after.

When I was reaching inside my compartment outside the RV full of cleaning stuff, I found a whole bunch of ants! Imagine that! The war was on. We found they were entering just below our bed of all places, in the area where the slide out hydraulics are housed. We fought the battle for over an hour this afternoon with them, and I think we certainly have slowed them down... here is hoping!

I am not a big reader by any sense of the imagination. (Books that is...) However in the last month since getting here in Florida, I have read two books! (Judy has just about taken a heart attack...) In the past week I read the book you see pictured above... Seal Team Six. This is the Memoirs of Navy Seal, Howard Wasdin. He was a seal back in the 1990's, and fought a big battle in Somalia. He did a number of special operations over his career, but did not get involved when they Rescued Captain Philips, or when they took out Bin Laden. If you are into this kind of book, this is one of the better ones that I have read, and had a real problem putting it down. Not to worry though, as the Library up in Lake Wales has a couple more, or a few books that I have not read in there still...lol Have to go find another one I guess.

Tom and Cheryl report about 4 or 6 inches of snow up in Richmond Hill tonight... ouch!

Till tomorrow...

  1. Nice work with the caulking job. The second photos looks great.

Ants? I hope you knock them dead quickly. How annoying that must be to deal with.
