Late night post! We arrive in Johnson City, Tn.

We were on the road at 8:00 a.m. this morning, and made it to Johnson City by about 3:00 this afternoon, and that took into account that we lost another hour today.... we are now on Eastern Standard Time!

First thing we did was get set up in the Warrior's Path State Park. We pulled in and found no one in the Ranger's Booth, so we drove into the park and found our same site from last fall open, so we just set up on it! The park is quite full of people, we were surprised! Turns out it is Spring Break here for all the kids, so all the families are out camping with the nice warm weather.

No pictures tonight, it is too late.... sorry.... Tomorrow though, we will have great pictures to show you, as Judy and I jumped on the motorcycles and headed into visit Emmie and Paige! Well, Shawn and Jenn too.... The Kids are doing well... Emmie is growing and talking like a weed! Little Paige is giving Mom and Dad a bit of a hard time, but she seemed not too bad tonight for us... buy hey, we are Pop Pop and Grannie!

It rained here tonight, just as we got into their house, so we ended up ordering in Pizza and had a big Pizza Party tonight!

Jenn's Brother Ryan was out of Hospital today, however her Father had to go into Hospital this afternoon, so Jenn and Shawn are keeping tabs on happenings in Oakville.

Shawn and Jenn have to take little Paige into the Clinic tomorrow morning, so Judy and I have to be into at their house for 8:00 bells, so we can babysit Emmie! I will have to bone up on my babysitting skills! Good thing Grannie will be there!

Well time for bed. We all watched Montreal beat the Caps tonight in OT no less!

Till tomorrow...

We hit a record today! Over 90 Degrees F.

Hit the road at 9:00 this morning, and had to crank on the air conditioning right from the get go! This afternoon, our temperature was over 90 degrees F. Yikes!
We drove from Memphis to the east side of Nashville. We are in the Town of Lebonon. We are in a great park tonight that Judy found via Passport America, for all of $12.50 for the night!
Tonight I won the fight with Star Choice and got to watch Ottawa beat the penguins!
It is nice and green here in Tennessee... check these out...

There is a lot of swamp type land on the west side of Tennessee...

It is a nice drive through this area, and we took our time and enjoyed it! We were at our campground by 2:00 p.m. You could not drive too long today... just too hot!
We got a nice drive through site, so did not have to take the motorcycle trailer off! Yeah!
\Here I am starting to put up our internet satellite as well as our Star Choice...

Judy was walking around the park and took these pictures.... dishes are almost up!

Watching the news tonight, and I see the Cdn. $$$ has gone above the U.S. Greenback in value. This is good new for people like Judy and I.... may not be real good for Trade though....

Tomorrow we will make it to Johnson City and get to visit with Paige and Emmie, Shawn and Jenn as well. We learned today that Jenn's Brother, Ryan, had to under go brain surgery back up in Toronto, but is doing very well and should be out of the Hospital soon! Here is hoping!

Till tomorrow....

On the Road Again...

Beautiful day today, and we were back on the road again! We really enjoyed our time in Branson, and hope to return here one day, it is worth it!
By noon today, it was starting to really heat up, and we had to drive with the air conditioning on all afternoon... we had a few delays with accidents today, and heavy traffic down on the I-40. We made it to Memphis, Tennessee this afternoon, however we are still over 500 miles from Johnson City, which is on the other side of Tennessee. We will probably hit there on Thursday sometime. We find we can only do about 300 miles a day in this heat driving the big wheels, and then we are looking for a place to stay! Tonight we are in an agricultural Fair Grounds RV Park for the night. It has close access to the highway, and was only $25.00.
We have a couple pics from driving today, with Judy on the camera... the first one is some purple flowers, that you can hardly see as they zoom by, but they were real nice to look at... This was taken in Arkansas, and there is very heavy vegetation as you can see.

Every thing here was real green and nice... must rain here sometime....

We had to spend a couple of hours this morning running up and down the Ozark Mountains... very nice to look at, but slow going on a secondary highway. That's alright, I am retired!

Finally we made the mighty Mississippi, and headed across the big bridge, to Memphis, Tn.

Looks like the Egyptians were here on the left....

Got set up in our park tonight, and had a fight with setting up our Star Choice dish.... they can be a little tricky sometimes, and tonight the dish won! Usually I win, but not tonight.... oh well, it was only game 1 of the hockey anyways... a long way to go yet.

Till tomorrow....
