We are feeling a bit lonely…

Well, today was Sept. 6th, and everyone knows what day that is… back to School Day!

Judy and I got to sleep in a bit, as we don’t have to worry about the back to school ritual… everyone is grown up!

The start of the new week did mean that our Park emptied out here… big time!   Everyone has gone home after the Labour Day Weekend…

We only have one neighbour left, John and his Wife, in their Phaeton.  They are out of Florida, and will soon be heading back that way the beginning early next week.  The other trailers you see in the background, are seasonal, and long since deserted.

Yes, our unit is still here!  Our motorcycle trailer that you see to the right of the unit, will end up staying in Woodstock for the winter, as we will once again tow the Jeep, and probably put Judy’s Burgman on the mototote behind the Jeep.

It seems we have switched weather with B.C.  We are very cool and damp, while they are hot and humid… go figure…

Spent most of the day working on a bunch of financial stuff, and some insurance stuff, all getting ready to hit the road at the end of October!  Getting close!

Judy is off babysitting Gwenny tonight as the kids have some outside commitments… she will be in her glory!

Till tomorrow…

What happened??? Who hit the switch???

I guess all that bragging I did about our fine Southern Ontario weather did me in!  What a change we had today… Cool, overcast, only 14 degrees when we got up this morning… what happened?  Judy will tell you… “it is September!”

This morning in order to keep warm, we figured we better go for a hike along the trail at Pittock Lake.  Turns out, it is a very popular trail on Labour Day!

Judy found this grey cat, lurking in the middle of the trail, trolling for affection from anyone who would give it.  He had lots of business, as everyone stopped to give him some love…

Today was one of those days that the sky was almost the same colour as the lake…

A blurry view of the trail taken with my smart phone as I was walking… no people in sight here, but the trail was full!

Chris and Kristina had invited us over for Labour Day Dinner, as Chris wanted to do a chicken on the rotisserie on the BBQ… it was excellent…

Kristina took this picture of little Gwenny this morning, I call it her “dance” picture…

Gwenny was all dressed up today… Judy had trouble putting her down today!

Looks like tomorrow is going to be cool and overcast as well, but after that there is some promise!

Till tomorrow…

Christmas in September??? What???

Who ever heard of Christmas in September???  Well, they have here at Willow Springs RV Park.  Today was the Park’s Annual Christmas Turkey Dinner.  Of course this Park is long closed and full of snow come December 25 each year, with no one around except for maybe the odd snowman, so they hold Christmas Dinner on Labour Day!  Why not!  The owners of the Park provide the meal free to all year round park campers, like Judy and I.  We were able to arrange to have Chris and Kristina join us, along with Gwenny of course.

Hamming it up before dinner.

I think about 90 people attended… and enjoyed a terrific turkey dinner!

Did I mention they also had desert???

We were all out walking before dinner in Woodstock to make room for a bit of that desert!

It was another hot and humid day in southern Ontario!  Will this ever end????

Gwenny never woke up while on her walk…

So with lots of pictures of little Gwenny lately, I have to give some “air time” to little Paige and Emmie over in Ottawa… I found a couple good recent pictures off of their blog…

Emmie is now over 3 1/2 and looks like she is going on to 15 in this picture…

Emmie goes out

And I liked this picture of Paige on the left, and Emmie, all decked out in summer colours.

Yikes, the blog is all over the place lately, all cars yesterday, and all Grand Kids today!

Who knows what tomorrow will bring???

Till tomorrow…
