When was the last time this happened???

We have had some very unusual weather here the past couple of days. I cannot remember the last time this happened! What, you may ask? Check this out... out low temperature at night, is HIGHER, that our high temperature during the day! Go figure...

Not much on the go here at all today, just taking life easy, and making final preparations to take off for Florida. One of those things was making changes to our Bell Cell Phone Account. We use the North American Plan with data for our Smart Phone while we are in the U.S. We also use a local Trac Phone that we pick up in the States, as they are very cheap to use.

Took a couple fall type pictures around our Park this afternoon, while taking a walk around. Above you can see our unit right in the middle of the picture...We are one of the last people staying in the temporary section of the Park right now...

The leaves are falling, probably about 65% on the ground now from my estimation...

These lots above were rebuilt by our Park Owners this summer, and will be ready for use next spring for people on short term stays in RV's or tents, or whatever.
Check out what this owner did to his 5th wheel this fall... I am not sure if this is a good idea or not... we get and lot of wind at times, and the cover is slapping against the unit... will have to check it out next spring to see how it made out!

That was about it for today... back to work on the painting job tomorrow...

Till tomorrow...

  1. Whenever I see RV's all covered up like that I wonder if they ever consider that folks who own houses don't cover them up when they head south for the winter.

Nice fall pics of your campground.

  2. I've often wondered about the RV covers and why you would want one. Maybe down here in the summer sun. I'm really not sure. Does look like Fall is almost over up your way. We're still in the 90's. Hopefully we get some Fall.

  3. Great pictures showing the beautiful fall colors.

Neighbors from our old neighborhood had purchased the best cover they could get for the start of the 2011 - 2012 winter to protect their trailer. Halfway through the winter the wind got so bad that it totally shredded the material it causing the seams that held up to scratch the trailer.

I'll stick to wheel covers until we hit the road. Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  5. In the storage yard where we used to keep our RV, I saw some nasty things going on with tarps and covers. I resolved that I'd never do that. The first year the guy I used to sail with thought he'd cover his boat. That didn't work out. The snow load crushed the frame he built, and he ended up with about a foot of water in the bottom of the boat.
Just leave the thing out in the elements!

  6. I believe if you want to protect you Rv put it inside a building od leave it to the elements, and maintain it properly.

  7. It is too early in the morning for me to do the brain teaser with the weather.
That covers looks like a ton of work to put on. Hope it holds out all winter.
