We only saw 17...

Simply another gorgeous day here in Central Florida. Starting to sound like a broken record already, I know! However the weather has been great!

This morning we took time to remember! Remember all those who fought in the World Conflicts, and those who gave up their lives for our freedom. Today, I remember my Dad, who fought win WWII, and was wounded, but able to return to Canada and enjoy his life with my Mom. I watched the Remembrance Day Ceremony from Ottawa that was broadcast on the CBC. For a nice effect, there was light snow... many times I have attended and enjoyed the snow.

This afternoon Judy and I enjoyed our freedom, by taking a ride out on the motorcycles, to one of our favourite Florida spots, the Circle B Ranch at Lakeland. We have been here many times, blogged about it many time, and have never got tired of it!

We only saw 17 of these today!

This is about a 12 foot gator... one of about 5,000 that are in the Lake Hancock area!

I love this picture above of the crane keeping an eye on the gator... he better!

Circle B is a wildlife preserve, and has a bunch of buildings that look like the one above, all there to educate you. It is a great spot, and well used by all! It is owned and operated by Polk County.

Lots of big trees, and lots of spanish moss...

We just pulled into the preserve and were welcomed by this guy above... love it! He looks bullet proof to me!

Right after we were welcomed, we ran into a couple of turkeys...

We found just about every type of Florida waterbird you could imagine... it is a great spot.

I call this bird above, the Batman Bird! He is sending the Bat signal!

 

Check out the turtles above sharing the log... everyone gets along! Well, almost!

It was a great afternoon walk... all the pictures I took today were with the iPhone... I got lazy!

I will never forget the ones who had to fight, so I could enjoy my freedom! Thank you all!
