We were out on the road by 10:00 a.m. this morning, heading south to Key West! Our next destination.
You simply cannot get any further south in the Continental U.S.A. I guess! What a terrific drive it is down from Key Largo to Key West!
You see lots of this above... helps when it is a terrific day weather wise outside!
That is one of the longest bridge spans heading south right behind Judy in the distance... 7 miles long.
This is what used to be running on these bridges many years ago!
We got set up in our RV Park, and took the bus this afternoon to visit Key West, about a 20 minute bus ride. This is a picture of the famous Duval Street of Key West, where all the action takes place...especially at night time!
We walked around a bit, and got a little thirsty, so had to stop for refreshments, Key West style...
We got to watch the Magesty of the Sea take off from Key West heading out to sea!
We stayed downtown for dinner, and enjoyed walking the docks on the west side of Key West. It was a real nice night out for walking around!
Till tomorrow...
Lovely spot. I have been there and would entertain going there again. We toured the entire area on rented scooters.
ReplyDeleteWhile you were watching the Majesty of the Sea set sail Kathy an I were about 500 feet from you at Mallory Square watching the street performers. Too bad we didn't get a chance to say hello again.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
It is a fun place to explore, have too much fun there.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a place I'd like to visit one day. Haven't been back since I founded Rick's Bar - you can see it in one of your pics!
ReplyDeleteKey West definitely has its charms! Wondering where you are staying...
