We were all up early this morning enjoying the so called "free" breakfast that the Holiday Inn offers with their rooms. They now have a square machine, you push the button and out comes a fresh cooked pancake! I had two, and they were good! What next???
The goal was to get back out on the kayaks, and that we did...
Judy and Cheryl are looking for two good men to get the kayaks off Big Moe!
We found a nice RV Park that let us park and launch for five bucks. Judy is ready...
We were on the Chassahowitzka River today, which is close to Homosassa Springs. Say all that with a mouth full of potatoes!
There was a pile of wildlife on this trip...
Ya, Judy has her new hat on...
We had only been out 15 minutes, pulled into a lagoon and hit pay dirt!
This manatee was having a snooze on the bottom... What a sight!
We took the boats up a little river that the locals call" Maggie's Crack"... Don't ask me, I didn't name it. It got real tight in here, and we did not know that we had to get out of our boats at the end, and then walk a bit to see the big crack in the ground, which is a spring!
All the birds were fishing...lots of fish here!
Don' miss the baby turtle out front of Mamma!
After the boating was over, we checked out the campground and I loved this VW Tent above!
As we pulled into the dock, this airboat was leaving...
Had a great day on the water...
Till tomorrow...
That tent is too cute!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice paddle around, and lovely weather to boot.

Great pic of the Manatee.
ReplyDeleteIt sure looked like fun but whenever I see kayaks in those narrow waters I can't help thinking GATORS!!
They must be there! I know they are.
Kayaking too much fun, love that VW tent.
