Congratulations to Justine Dufour-Lapointe from Montreal, for winning Canada's first Gold Medal for Women's Moguls, as well as her Sister, Chloe, who took the Silver Medal! They managed to out score Defending Champion, Hannah Kearney of the United States, who took the Bronze. Go Canada!
Tom and I were trying for the Mens 4 1/2 mile walk Gold Medal held at the Rainbow Resort in Frostproof, but non of the competition showed up, so we just had to walk! Very overcast for most of the day here today, but fairly mild temperatures.
Made a trip down to Sebring today, and stopped into Batteries Plus, and picked up two new 12 V Deep Cycle RV Batteries, to replace our current house batteries, and have recently failed, after 5 years of service. Will probably change them out tomorrow... Batteries Plus had the best pricing, at $86.00 per battery, vs. $102.00 at Advance Auto Parts.
Next I ended up in Winter Haven, at the Super Lubes, to arrange the changing of the oil in my front and rear differentials on the Jeep. Each one uses a different grade of oil, but they had all that figured out for me, with help of the Jeep online Data Base. They also changed out the oil in our transfer case, which is ATF 4 Fluid. As the Jeep is 4 wheel drive, you have all these extra maintenance items you have to take care of over time.
That what kind of day it was!
Till tomorrow...
Nice to get all that preventative maintenance done, to keep your vehicle running smoothly.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great day for Canada's Olympians, yesterday. Three medals (1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze) really set the tone. To close the day in 2nd place with the team skate competitions is no small feat either.
ReplyDeleteI got word that your Maple Leafs beat our tired Canucks too. Sheesh!
That was a pretty good start for Canada at the Olympics and nice to see those sisters on top of the podium.
ReplyDeleteGood work on the Jeep!
