Family Time!

Had to miss putting the blog together yesterday, due to too much time spent with the Family!  Guilty as charged!

Our nice sunny weather continued right through the Thanksgiving weekend, with high temperatures and lots of sun… I cannot remember a Thanksgiving Weekend as good as this past one as far as the weather goes!  Crazy, but we took it!

We were 25 Family members and friends for dinner, as no one was missing from our Family!  We had the opportunity to pose for the picture below, just Judy and I, our Daughter Kristina and her husband Chris along with Gwenny on the left, and our son, Shawn, his wife Jenn, and Emmie and Paige on the right.  (Well, actually now looking at the picture, Emmie is sitting on my knee!)

This picture below is just Judy and I and the Grands, the first time we have had the opportunity to have them all together!

Paige and Emmie playing with some gifts that Kristina and Chris brought…

McCabe's restaurant in Orillia puts on a fine buffet Turkey Dinner.

Emmie could not get enough of visiting Gwenny, who she had just met for the 1st. time!

After dinner all the cousins got to get together and go for a swim in the nice indoor pool at the Highwayman Inn in Orillia… here you can see Dr. Hollinger teaching little Paige how to fly, instead of how to swim!

They have a great facility here, and our clan took up a whole bunch of the pool and sitting area…

This is Presley and Emmie below, they spent over 1 1/2 hours in the pool, having a ball.

Little Gwenny just got too tired watching all the kids swim!

This morning, we all got to enjoy a nice hot buffet breakfast at McCabe's Restaurant, which is connected to the Highwayman Inn.  They offered a terrific Thanksgiving package of a room, plus the Buffet Breakfast for $89.00!

Judy’s brother Gary, and his wife, Shelly, live in Orillia, and came over to visit us a bit.  They brought Emmie and Paige, Ottawa Senator sweaters as they now live in our Nation’s Capital.  I don’t know why Paige is not wearing hers here… Paige is a “free spirit” for sure!

This morning before some of us parted East, and some West, we got this picture of Kristina and Gwenny, along with Shawn with his daughter’s, Emmie and Paige.

As previously mentioned, Paige is a free spirit!

Not so much fun, was fighting the traffic back on the way home from Orillia…  we have to use the 401 and about 19 million other people seemed to have the same idea… I would prefer to drive the freeways in L.A. other than Toronto’s!

It was totally worth it though, as we really enjoyed the weekend spent with Family and would not miss it for anything!

And we must welcome “Miss Lazee”, our latest blog follower… hang on, we will be back on the road soon!

Till tomorrow…

  1. You have some great family pictures there. Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Sometimes I think going to a buffet is a great idea...more time for fun instead of cooking and cleaning! Sure have cute grand kids.

  3. What a great weekend! Those family photos of all of you will be treasured for years to come.

I see what you mean by Emmi hanging on to Gwenny - she's still doing it in the last photo.
