Hope everyone had a great St. Patrick's Day... it was beautiful here in Florida. The day started off with a great Skype from Shawn, Jenn, Emmie and Paige! They were showing us all their St. Patty's day stuff they accumulated! They had a great time! Oh ya, 9 deg. F. in Ottawa today! Glad we are in Florida!
We just took life easy today... well, if you call doing a whole bunch of cleaning taking it easy. Judy did her usual great job of keeping the inside of our RV nice and clean and spotless, along with all our laundry! Patra and I appreciate it very much!
Here is how much Patra appreciates the nice warm temperatures here in Florida...
Judy has a special little brush she uses on her, and Patra just loves being combed with it!
My efforts today, made our Jeep Liberty the cleanest one in the Park today... did it all, inside and out, and also a treatment on the outside with "The Solution". Probably going to rain now...
We went for a bit of a walk this afternoon, and I remembered to bring my big camera to get a picture of the baby Owls. They raised their head to take a peek at us, and I grabbed the picture above... they are not flying quite yet, but appear to be doing very well. Found out they are Great Horned Owls today.
Now when you look at the Gator above, you would think we went out hiking yet again at Circle B. No, we did not. This picture was taken over at the Walmart Parking Lot beside us here in Winter Haven! They have two water retention ponds on the property, right beside the parking lots, and somehow, this 4 footer got into one of them! There is a 10 foot fence all around the pond!
Then I noticed this crazy duck, and her 14 babies trailing her... yikes, the Gater is looking at them! Will have to go back and count the babies again in a few days! Ya, this was at Walmart! Bet your Walmart does not have it's own Gator!
Judy and I walked over to the second water retention pond at Walmart, and we found this Sand Hill Crane sitting on her nest! Check yesterday's blog to see little baby Cranes we found yesterday. Maybe Walmart should start selling tickets to the Walmar Wildlife Preserve!
We ended the day with a nice skype call from Kristina and Gwenny on St. Patty's Day. She posted a couple pictures of her, Chris, and Gweeny all wearing the Green of the day!
Whew... that about wraps it up for the day, hope you all didn't drink too much green beer!

ReplyDeleteWe were at a park in Florida and the baby duck count went down an down quite rapidly. But no alligators at Wal-Mart.
