Way to tired to blog last night, after spending all of Friday in Los Angeles. It was a great weather day over there, lots of sun, and in the 80’s…
On Friday morning we all got organized, and Howard and Teri had to check out of the Park Model. By mid morning we were off for LA.
First on our agenda, was a visit to The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. This is an amazing place to visit, and I would recommend this trip to anyone, young or old. It is very big, with lots of live shows to enjoy through out the day. We ended up spending about 3 hours here, and certainly could go back and see more!
As you enter the Grand Hall of the Aquarium, this is the greeting party! Lots of kids here today, as it was a PE day, just prior to March Break.
There are a lot of different aquariums inside, including the one below with Alaskan King Crab… they were big.
They had a great show with Divers feeding the fish in this aquarium… the Diver is giving high 5’s to the kids… they loved it!
This saw fish was in an outside tank, and he is big! They were feeding him… he swam with the sharks!
do do…do do…do do…
This is the Shark feeder…
This is one of the biggest Sting Ray’s I have ever come across.
You can see the diver again, below on the left of the picture… the tank he is in had hundreds of tropical fish…
It was a blast watching the diver feed these two sting rays…
You got to walk through the aquarium below… really cool!
A nice way to spend the day!
Stay out of this guy’s way below boy…
We all had a great time at the aquarium, however our day was not over! On the way out of Long Beach, we came across the Queen Mary in dock!
Howard and Teri wanted to take in a bit of the Pacific Ocean in the afternoon, so we made our way down to Santa Monica to catch a glimpse of the ocean and the famous pier.
There was lots of traffic, but not too many on the beach, as it was late in the afternoon, and the sun was getting ready to go down…
Lots of folks were out on the pier last night. The finish line for Route 66!
Looking north to Malibu below, with quite a few people looking for Charlie Harper!
Lots of people love to fish at the end of the pier…
A great big fire ball hitting the Ocean…
Perfect end to a great day.
We headed over to Howard and Teri’s hotel, where we enjoyed a great dinner with them, prior to our return to DHS.
Till tomorrow…
That aquarium is fabulous. And I've never been to Santa Monica either so I really loved those pictures. Hope you've recovered a little bit.
