Feel like getting your blood pumping, and don't want to exercise... no problem!
Simply open an account with Bell Canada!
In the last couple months, I have praised the services of Bell after we purchased our iPad and put it on the Bell System for Internet Service.
Today we got our blood pumping, by simply opening up our email, and seeing the notice from Bell that our August Bill was ready for viewing... great! Problem was, it was over $442.00!!!!!! WHAT???
Our bill runs about $130.00 a month, which includes our phone and Internet Service, so you can see why our blood was boiling when we saw $442.00!
Of course, the first thing I did was go online to Bell.ca to check out our usage... maybe Judy made a bunch of calls to China, or Russia! Nooooooo.... Bell.ca has been off line for over 2 days... oh boy...
Next was a call to Bell Customer Service. After 4 calls, and a visit to our local Bell Store here in Woodstock, Bell admited they had in fact made a mistake, and adjusted our Bill accordingly. Only took a little over an hour! Bell had built up some browney points with me, but I had to take a bunch away today! Arghhhh...oh well, at least it is all fixed now. Blood pressure back to normal!
Bet you thought there was no such thing as a "Free Lunch"! Today there was! Judy and I attended a Financial Market Update Session, as the local Woodstock Branch Office of Royal Bank.
As many investors already know, Financial Markets have been a bit sluggish this year to say the least! It seems the U.S.A. is starting to make improvements which is a good thing. I have always said, "When the U.S. sneezes, Canada pulls out a kleenex!"
Anyways, RBC put on a nice 45 minute presentation, to keep us informed, and supplied a nice Subway Lunch for the Clients to enjoy... we did! Best thing was, we didn't even know they were going to supply lunch... love it when that happens!
So, there apparently is no need to jump off a high building just yet, just have to hang in there with the rest of the world!
Ever wonder where some of the jobs in the U.S.A. and Canada have gone???? I can tell you... check this one out!
Today I was playing around mounting our new CCM bicycles onto our Sport Rack on the Jeep to take down to the bike trails for another great bike ride... this is what I found...
It is kind of hard to read but the sticker on the bike says "Designed with Pride in Canada, Made in China"! Oh boy... growing up as a kid in Montreal, I remember having CCM bicycles, and felt proud knowing that they were built in Canada. Hope I don't have to try and explain this sticker to our Grand Kids when they ask, "What does this sticker mean, Pop Pop???"
Till tomorrow...

Things are improving in the USA, eh? Glad you told me, I didn't know lol!!
ReplyDeleteJohn I hope you don't pay bell by Automatic Preauthorized Payments like I do because even though they straightened out the mess they would still take the total amount they billed you for and then credit you the difference until they pay you back. In effect using your money interest free to pay the wages of their after hour techs in India.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
WOW...I would have passed out if I received that bill. Glad they found the mistake.
ReplyDeleteA free lunch for a little bit of your time is a pretty good exchange.
made in China?..I purchased a few of the 'Bear paw' bears in Montana..read the bottom of them?..made in China?..what the heck!

ReplyDeleteSounds like Bell Canada is trying to compete with our AT&T they have done the same thing to us, happily we were able to also resolve fairly easily. Got to love that sticker, just to many of those around these days. Tells us where the jobs are.
ReplyDeleteNot a lot Made in Canada or the USA anymore and is kinda sad.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty bad when a major Internet company's website is down for 2 days - doesn't really add confidence in their service.
ReplyDeleteOut of the ordinary bills are always heart pumpers or stoppers! Glad you were able to get it straightened out with a minimum of hassle.
Sure hope those Royal Bank subs weren't made in China!
