Ontario gets to celebrate our Civic Holiday Long Weekend starting today! Not too sure about other Provinces, and what they celebrate, but it is going to be a hot one here!
It reached about 35 deg. C. here under the sun today, and you could do nothing! High humidity to boot... so we did not do a whole lot.
I had a bunch of errands to run this morning... Judy's bike we bought the other day, developed a very loud squeel in the front brake. I took it back to Canadian Tire, they looked at it, tried to fix it, could not, so they gave us the following choices... take another bike, or take our money back! Great customer service if you ask me! Canadian Tire did not used to be like that, from what I can remember! Good on them!
Other than that, not a lot on the go today, other than getting ready to take off for Sauble Beach tomorrow!
Till tomorrow...

Hope you have a nice holiday and enjoy your time at Sauble Beach. Sorry to hear about the problem with bike, such a good deal hope you can just get it fixed. Safe Travels.
ReplyDeleteI haven't the foggiest idea what a Civic Holiday Long Weekend is. But, if it is a holiday...ENJOY!
ReplyDeleteI thought our holiday was last Wednesday on Aug. 1st. Turns out it's celebrated this Monday same as Ontario. Just shows when you're retired every day is a holiday!
ReplyDeleteSo, did you get Judy another bike or take the money?
I never bothered to figure out just what the heck that civic holiday was all about either, but I didn't mind!
ReplyDeleteAfter buying a pair of bikes in the Netherlands, where they really know their bikes, I vowed to never buy another bike at Sears, Canadian Tire or their ilk ever again. Usually they're put together by kids who don't have a complete grasp of the situation, and half the time you get the wrong sized bike anyway.
