We found a Park called Pirateland RV Resort, which is right on the Atlantic Ocean! This is the little mini lake we are camped on tonight...
They allowed us to bring our trailer, Jeep, and RV onto our site here, which is nice. They are all big sites here, and you have a little lean to, to sit under. The lake is stocked with trout I believe, and they simply won't stop jumping at the flies above the water, fun to watch!
While we drove in this afternoon, it actually got quite hot out... it hit mid 85 degrees F. which is in the high 20's or low 30's on the C. Scale. Above I am heading to the beach... first glimps of the Ocean.
This has to be one of the nicest beaches in the U.S. and is rated that way by rating agencies... hardly anyone on it today though...
We walked down to this fishing pier which is part of the State Park at Myrtle Beach... kind of unique.
We walked out to the very end where a bunch of people were fishing, but we did not see anyone catch anything... no dolphins swimming by either, even though the sign said this is a high time for them.
Yes, it is nice to be back in the land of the Palm Trees again!
This is a view of Myrtle Beach from the end of the Pier! Busy place!
We just took life easy, enjoyed some afternoon refreshments, and I set up the Shaw Direct Dish so we could watch Homeland tonight, one of our favourite series on the SuperChannel.
Going to spend tomorrow touring around Myrtle Beach!
Must welcome Kris Watson, and Patrick Wong, 2 recent new blog followers! RVlifeonwheels is back on the road!
Till tomorrow...
