We had some more rain early this morning, which is great for all our crops and grass that is starting to return to green...nice to see.
This afternoon after the weather turned back to warm and sunny, we decided to go for a ride out on the motorcycles. Brantford is a great spot, and we wanted to go and check out a park which has some trails along the grand river.
The Grand meanders it's way through Brantford, and is quite nice.
This picture below is the start of the trail we chose...it was quite warm this afternoon, and we only wanted to walk about 1/2 an hour or so...
There was about 8 soccer fields at the start of this trail... great for all the kids to get out on...
The Grand River runs quite wide through Brantford, and moves at a nice pace, and actually looks very clean! We could see fish from the shore.
Check out the natural arch on the trail below... it was nice and cool as we walked under the canopy.
Judy is on a bridge that crosses over a trout river that dumps into the Grand.
I found this great big old Oak Tree, out in the middle of the soccer fields, today's pics were taken with the iPad.
We got our walk done, and it was time to jump back on the iron, and make our way back to Woodstock, via Paris. Great day for riding...
Gotta go and get caught up on the Olympics...
The Opening Ceremonies were certainly over the top! Even if the Queen did not smile, I simply love watching that stuff, and I gave this one a 10 out of 10! Excellent. Wouldn't want to pay the bill for it, but what a show! Good on London and all the Brits!
Till tomorrow...
I THINK WE HAVE ALL FALLEN INTO THAT ONE BEFORE

Looked like a great place for a walk. Nice looking river especially if you can see fish in it.
ReplyDeleteI watched a bit of the Olympics today but there didn't seem to be too much happening yet.
I'm waiting for the track and field events to start up.
That looks like my kind of trail, shady, level, paved, scenic, and most important of all...SHORT!!
